Housekeeping Associate
About The Position
This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others as a Housekeeping Associate. The role involves cleaning assigned apartments, suites, or homes and supporting housekeeping staff in maintaining general facility cleanliness. You will follow work schedules, clean resident rooms without disturbing personal items, and perform tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash using cleaning chemicals safely. Effective communication with residents and proactive problem-solving are key. You will also assist the laundry department and perform other tasks as assigned by housekeeping leadership.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (required)
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older (required)
- Good interpersonal relations with proven verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read special instructions and understand labels on cleaning products
- Must be able to produce a negative drug test
- Applicants may be subject to a background check
- Employees in this position must be able to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
- Candidates must complete a QuantiFERON Gold TB Blood Test as part of their pre-hire drug screen and physical
- Illinois Health Care Worker Background Check Act Screening
- National, State, County Criminal Background Checks
- Federal and state exclusion screening (OIG/Medicare/Medicaid)
- Pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana)
- Verification of work authorization
- Applicable registry verification (CNA. Nurse)
- Motor vehicle record view for positions requiring driving
