About The Position

The Courtyard by Marriott Burlington is looking for Housekeeping Associates to join their team. This hotel features 135 guestrooms and suites with 1800 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, indoor salt-water pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and on-site Bistro Restaurant, Lounge & Patio. The ideal candidate will have a warm personality, strong work ethics, and excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) years’ experience in housekeeping department of a focused service or full-service hotel preferred
Proven cleaning ability with full attention to details
Approachable, pleasant, polite, fast
Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products an asset
Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
Must be able to understand both oral and written English
Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Clean and service assigned rooms and areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash etc.
Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
Be aware of and ensure adherence to the Hotel’s policy regarding security of bedrooms and master keys
Report guest issues to the appropriate department
Deal with guest requests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner
Work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with colleagues assisting where necessary to develop team spirit and to achieve standards of work and guest care as required by Hotel policy
Maintain standards of punctuality, uniform and personal hygiene as required by Hotel policy
Follow all safety and security procedures and regulations while performing daily duties
Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management (laundry, public areas, etc.)
