About The Position
Avenir Behavioral Center is a 32-bed adult Behavioral Hospital serving the Surprise Community and surrounding areas since May 2019. We strive to provide excellent patient care. We are looking for a flexible, fun, and enthusiastic person to add to the intake team! We are looking for employees who want to help out in the community and have a better work/life balance. The Part-Time Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, attractive, and comfortable environment throughout the hospital. This role performs routine housekeeping and laundry functions to support patient care and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- High School education
- Minimum of 6 months of housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred (hospitality or healthcare setting is a plus).
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic understanding of regulatory guidelines (OSHA, local Health Department regulations, Safety Data Sheets).
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across patient rooms, common areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
- Collect, sort, wash, fold, and distribute hospital linens and laundry in accordance with sanitary procedures.
- Safely operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals (including proper dilution and handling).
- Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, regulatory standards (OSHA, local Health Department), and facility guidelines.
- Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or needed repairs to the Director of Plant Operations.
