About The Position

Join Hostelling International USA at our Boston hostel as a Full Time Housekeeping Team Member. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating clean, welcoming spaces and being part of a global community. You will help ensure travelers from around the world have a comfortable and positive stay by supporting daily operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property. The role requires flexibility, including varied shifts, shift times between 6 am and 10 pm, and weekend availability.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hostel setting preferred (6+ months)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Customer service experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and shared spaces to meet cleanliness standards
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and showers
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the hostel
• Complete laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and restocking linens
• Replace bed linens, towels, and other items as needed
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes and utensils
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces in common areas and guest rooms
• Remove trash and recycling daily
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management
• Help monitor and restock housekeeping supplies
• Support light maintenance or grounds tasks as needed
