About The Position

Provide cleaning services including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows and other duties as assigned. Clean Resident Bedrooms and bathrooms as assigned. Clean common areas and offices as assigned. Collect and dispose of trash. Report any repairs or concerns to the Director of Facilities. Complete tasks according to the Quality Assurance checklists and document. Read the communication log prior to each shift and communicate within the Housekeeping Department at the end of each shift, as needed. Be familiar with and abide by the WMH policies and procedures. Participate on the Safety Committee as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to patiently, tactfully and enthusiastically deal with personnel, residents, family members, etc., to all types of situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Ability to learn new methods and willingly incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Ability to complete tasks assigned for each shift and document on the daily shift check list.
