About The Position

This role involves responding promptly to guest and departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Housekeeping Aide will contact other departments for urgent repairs, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities also include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, linens, and trash, and transporting them to service areas. The position requires cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment. The role adheres to all company and safety/security policies, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. It also involves completing safety training and certifications, and properly storing flammable materials. A professional appearance and confidentiality are expected. The Housekeeping Aide will welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and meeting quality standards. Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart, reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, visually inspecting tools and equipment, grasping and manipulating objects, moving through narrow or elevated spaces, climbing ladders, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded a housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to move up and down a ladder.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Completion of safety training and certifications.

Responsibilities
