About The Position
This position carries the responsibility for the provision and maintenance of the cleanliness and the appearance of the hospital. On the job training is provided for this position.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of grammar school.
- Ability to follow written and oral instruction.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness and appearance in all areas of the hospital facility by following department policies and procedures utilizing the proper chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- May be responsible for transporting hazardous, regulated, and non-regulated waste to designated areas.
- Movement of light equipment and furniture.
- Collection and delivery of soiled and clean linen.
- Assists in the orientation of new employees.
- Calculates total monies received and compiles daily register reports.
- Provides excellent customer service to all contacts.
- Recognizes and reports potential problems to the supervisor or nursing manager on the floor.
