About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott Evansville is looking to hire Housekeeping Aides to join their team! As a Housekeeping Aide, you will perform routine duties such as the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and any other area that may be assigned. You will also be responsible for keeping up supplies areas with items required for the convenience and comfort of the guest per Marriott Brand Standards. The person holding this position is responsible for carrying out all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry, or push (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Must be able to lift (up to 25 lbs.)
  • Must be able to see (for dirt or stains)
  • Must be able to hear (for security purposes)
  • Must be able to climb stairs or ladders
  • Must have manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in an atmosphere that is demanding and physical
  • Must be able to operate a vacuum cleaner
  • Must be in uniform and wearing nametag at all times
  • Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance
  • Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment
  • Must be capable of the physical activity necessary to be able to perform all of the tasks designated for laundry personnel, and general cleaners
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must be able to see problem areas arise in individual rooms and be able to communicate these problems to Executive Housekeeper (or Assistant Executive Housekeeper) either verbally or in writing

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and servicing of guest rooms

  • Carrying out all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
