About The Position

This position is responsible for responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, posting caution signs, and contacting other departments for urgent repairs. The role also involves delivering guest requests, setting up furniture, and removing items from hallways such as debris, trays, newspapers, linens, and trash. Additionally, the Housekeeping Aide will clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment, and adhere to all company and safety policies. This includes reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training, and properly storing flammable materials. A clean and professional appearance, maintaining confidentiality, and welcoming guests according to company standards are also key aspects of the role. The position requires anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Effective communication, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards are expected. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, push and pull loaded carts, reach overhead and below the knees, and perform various physical movements like bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visual inspection of tools and equipment, manipulation of objects requiring fine motor skills, and working in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces are also part of the job. The role requires standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods and performing other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.

  • Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near Housekeeper carts.
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Properly store flammable materials.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
