About The Position

This position performs day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner to uphold a sanitary healing institution. Maintains assigned area in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Working in environmental services in a healthcare setting preferred
• Housekeeping preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning products preferred
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures preferred
• Knowledge of relationship of sanitation and infection control preferred
• Effective communication skills
• Skills in identifying problems and making frequent decisions regarding method of performance
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Ability to generate, read, and interpret
• Ability to work cooperatively to maintain good working relationships
• Ability to choose and mix proper cleaning solutions

Responsibilities

• Cleans and services patient rooms, offices and hallways, as well as other inpatient, outpatient and ancillary areas.
• Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
• Ensures proper supplies and equipment are maintained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
