This role involves responding promptly to guest and departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Housekeeping Aide will also handle urgent repairs by contacting other departments, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash, and transporting them to service areas. The position also requires cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment. Adherence to company policies, safety and security procedures, and proper storage of flammable materials are crucial. The role demands maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards, including assisting individuals with disabilities. Teamwork, clear communication, and meeting quality expectations are also key. Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, visually inspecting equipment, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, working in narrow or elevated spaces, climbing ladders, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods.
