About The Position

Hickory Creek at Scottsburg is hiring a full-time Housekeeping Aide. The role provides cleaning services to maintain a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Work is performed according to facility policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The posting indicates a day shift is available.

Requirements

• Perform housekeeping services in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain residents’ privacy and knock and announce before entering resident rooms.
• Use personal protective equipment as required by exposure risks and facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and compassion to the patients served.
• Clean assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility policy, while maintaining residents’ privacy and knocking and announcing before entering a resident room.
• Post signs to indicate safety hazards when housekeeping activities create environmental hazards for staff, residents, visitors, or others.
• Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds after a resident is discharged.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly.
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids, and whenever facility policies and procedures require it.
