This role involves responding promptly to guest and departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Housekeeping Aide will also contact other departments for urgent repairs, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, linens, and trash, and cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment. The position requires adherence to all company and safety policies, including reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and completing safety training. Proper storage of flammable materials is also necessary. The role demands maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality, and welcoming guests according to company standards. It also involves anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as is supporting team goals and ensuring quality standards. Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling loaded housekeeping carts, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, visually inspecting equipment, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, moving through confined or elevated spaces, climbing ladders, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods. Other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors may also be assigned.
