About The Position

This role involves responding promptly to guest and inter-departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Housekeeping Aide will also handle urgent repairs by contacting other departments, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, linens, and trash, and transporting them to service areas. Additionally, the role requires cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment, and adhering to all company policies regarding safety and security. This includes reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training, and properly storing flammable materials. The Housekeeping Aide must maintain a clean and professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and provide excellent guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities. Communication should be clear and professional, and team collaboration is essential to achieve common goals and maintain quality standards. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance. The role also requires pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and machinery over various surfaces, reaching overhead and below the knees with bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visual inspection of tools and equipment, manipulation of objects with fine motor skills, and movement through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, including climbing ladders, are necessary. The position requires standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods throughout the work shift. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors must also be performed.

Requirements

Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
Ability to push and pull a loaded a housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
