About The Position

This role involves responding promptly to guest and inter-departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Housekeeping Aide will also handle urgent repairs by contacting other departments, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, linens, and trash, and transporting them to service areas. The position also requires cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment, and adhering to all company policies regarding safety and security. This includes reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training, and properly storing flammable materials. A professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality are essential. The role requires welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional, with a focus on supporting team goals and meeting quality expectations. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance. Pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and other machinery over uneven surfaces, reaching overhead and below the knees, and performing various movements like bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping are also necessary. Visual inspection of tools and equipment, manipulating objects with fine motor skills, and working in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, including climbing ladders, are part of the job. The role requires standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods throughout the work shift. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors must also be performed.

Requirements

Ability to push and pull a loaded a housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash placed near Housekeeper carts.
Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.

Complete safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
