About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned areas according to procedure to meet established infection control, sanitation, and safety guidelines. This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, pulling trash, pulling dirty linen, cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers, and beds. The role also involves replenishing linen and other supplies, maintaining housekeeping carts, keeping equipment clean, and reporting any broken equipment to the supervisor. This position is part of a fast-paced, high-volume department and offers a sense of accomplishment through teamwork, excellent mentorship, and comprehensive training.

Requirements

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of working independently, setting priorities, and being flexible in assignments.
Able to work around housekeeping chemicals.
Full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
6 Months Related Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned area(s) according to procedure to meet established infection control, sanitation and safety guidelines.
Perform tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, pulling trash, pulling dirty linen, cleaning sinks, commodes, countertops, showers and beds.
Replenish linen and other supplies i.e., paper towels, trash bags, toilet tissue, etc. in assigned area.
Replenish supplies on housekeeping carts or in assigned areas to prepare work area for next service period.
Keep all equipment clean.
Report all broken equipment to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
