About The Position
Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is a 170-bed acute care hospital serving the greater Truckee Meadows. The Housekeeper cleans all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures and participates in performance improvement activities. This is a full-time opportunity with benefits and a convenient schedule. The role is expected to carry out environmental services work professionally and to maintain hospital areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary condition. It also requires following applicable procedures for cleaning supplies and infection control.
Requirements
- One to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
- Perform assigned tasks professionally and in a manner that reflects the integrity of the environmental services department.
- Routinely clean patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
- Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Use appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Follow infection control practices, including hand hygiene techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions.
