About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest environment of the hotel. This role plays a vital part in creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience by ensuring all guestrooms and public spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or cleaning experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with hotel cleaning standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel brand standards.
  • Clean and reset guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and replenishing amenities.
  • Ensure all spaces throughout the hotel contribute to a clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest environment.
  • Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and resolve concerns professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts, closets, and supply areas.
  • Safely and properly use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment in accordance with OSHA and hotel guidelines.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and safety concerns; report deficiencies promptly.
  • Transport linens, trash, and supplies to and from designated areas efficiently.
  • Remove trash and debris from assigned areas and ensure proper disposal and recycling practices.
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, stairwells, public restrooms, and other common areas as assigned.
  • Identify and report lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Ensure security of assigned keys and uphold guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and leadership to support smooth operations.
  • Support housekeeping team members and assist in other areas of the hotel during peak business demands.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity to leadership in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.
