According to the prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable federal, state, local and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Director of Environmental Services/Maintenance is responsible for performing general housekeeping and laundry assignments, cleaning and maintaining the appearance of assigned common areas. The role involves performing all duties assigned by the supervisor in a timely manner while adhering to all safety precautions and OSHA regulations. Duties include emptying trash, dusting, vacuuming common areas, cleaning and deodorizing bathrooms, replacing toilet paper and paper towels, polishing/cleaning furniture, fixtures, and window ledges, and mopping floor areas. The position also assists with maintaining common areas and grounds, ensuring they are in good repair, clean and free of trash and safety hazards, and conducting assigned preventative maintenance. Additionally, the Housekeeper cleans office equipment, performs general clean-up in social areas and common areas such as hallways, break rooms, and conference rooms. A significant part of the role involves assuring clean laundry for the facility by processing soiled linens, washing, drying, folding, and distributing clean linen, and delivering all linens on a timely basis. The Housekeeper is also responsible for keeping washers and dryers clean and free of lint, maintaining the laundry area and linen closets, and monitoring laundry supplies. They hang personal laundry on carts and deliver it to each wing, and assist the Director with cleaning related to move-out/move-in schedules. The role requires responding as needed to requests related to safety and cleanliness concerns. The ideal candidate demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, provides leadership as a role model to promote a team approach, and collaborates and participates in policy creation and appropriate problem-solving methods. They must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms, and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences’ Employee Information Guide (EIG), the Code of Conduct, as well as any facility handbook, including but not limited to, corporate compliance, drug-free workplace, safe work practices, and all federal, state, local regulations and laws. With respect to Resident Rights, the employee ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for the residents/clients, their families, and the staff. They report all complaints made by residents/clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, and report all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/resident property, and/or any other corporate compliance, drug-free workplace, safe work practices, and all federal, state, and local regulations and laws. The Housekeeper completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security, and HIPAA training, and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.
