About The Position

This is a part-time Housekeeper role within the Purina Animal Nutrition business, serving producers and animal owners across the United States. The company focuses on innovating nutrition products and practices for healthier, more productive animals. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill, including interior and exterior areas. This role requires trustworthiness and self-motivation, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality, Production, Training, and Housekeeping standards, and following instructions from Leads. The position is part of a Flex Manufacturing Program, offering flexible scheduling with typical weekly hours between 16-29, though this may vary by location. The starting time for the shift window is between 6-10 am.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
6+ months of work experience in any industry
Basic computer and math skills
Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions
Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

Nice To Haves

1+ year of manufacturing or cleaning work experience

Responsibilities

Keeping the mill clean
Painting
Reporting processing leaks
Completing all documentation accurately and timely
Maintaining the facilities exterior and interior cleanliness
Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others
Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to quickly to changes
Follows all good manufacturing practices, quality, production, training, and housekeeping standards as well of standard operating procedures on tasks
Able to multi-task and keep up with demands in a fast-paced environment
Occasional use of a weed trimmer (weed whacker), general vegetation control
