About The Position

The Housekeeper performs scheduled housekeeping tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing resident residences and their contents, as well as offices, bathrooms, and community common areas. The role also includes laundry tasks, preparing vacated residences, and maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked housekeeping carts. Work is assigned as scheduled and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

Read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents, families, guests, and other associates.
Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate exposure to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander.
Ability to safely push, pull, lift, bend, kneel, and reach, and to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize residences and contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash receptacles.
Clean resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community.
Assist with cleaning and refurbishing vacated residences.
Wash, dry, fold, and store community and resident linens and other laundry.
Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized, and stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
