Part Time (MWF) Housekeeper

About The Position

This position will be part-time with the possibility of full-time in the future. Housekeepers perform any combination of light cleaning duties in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
Two years' experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate with people and follow instructions.
Must be able to push carts, equipment, and supplies to all areas of facility.
Must be able to lift trash and linen weighing from 25 to 35 lbs.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb.
Must be able to use mops, brooms, vacuums, wall washing equipment, and high dusting equipment, which would require working below waist level up to overhead level.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, tubs and showers, day rooms.
Clean offices, public areas, laundry rooms, and nurses’ stations.
Clean all fixtures and accessories in all areas.
Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas.
Sweep and mop all tile and concrete areas.
Pull trash.
Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper and liquid soap, as needed.
Water shrubs and plants inside the facility.
Issue linens and ensure adequate linen supply by taking regular inventories.
Monitor inventory of housekeeping chemicals and supplies and report to Supervisor.
Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients.
Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness to perform the job in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
