Requirements
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of six (6) months experience in housekeeping duties is ideal, preferably in a health care facility.
- 1 year of housekeeping experience.
- 1 year of hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Routinely clean patient rooms, nursing units, clinical areas, offices, lounges, lobbies, waiting areas and restrooms while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA and Joint Commission regulations.
- Wipe equipment, clean furniture, polish floors and vacuum carpets using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
- Make beds, empty trash and restock cleaning supplies.
- Collect dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute the clean linen back to the appropriate floors.
- Take a daily inventory as well as inspect equipment for any repairs or replacements.
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
