About The Position

The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community. This role involves overseeing the cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms. The Housekeeper will also complete maintenance request reports, report any building or furnishing damage to the housekeeping supervisor, and operate laundry equipment when needed. Additionally, they will report inadequate supply levels to the supervisor, use only approved cleaning products, and ensure proper storage of all cleaning supplies. The role includes cleaning office areas when assigned, dusting and cleaning window blinds, dusting furniture and bookshelves in apartments and common areas, vacuuming common areas and apartments, and keeping common area and resident bathrooms clean. The Housekeeper will also clean apartments at resident move-out and attend required in-services and staff meetings. Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality is crucial, adhering to all policies regarding resident information. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Housekeeping experience highly desired
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
Ability to work well with others as part of a team
Polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
Must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
