About The Position

UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes is hiring a Housekeeper. This unique position offers a great mix of maintenance, housekeeping, groundskeeping, and patient support responsibilities. The Housekeeper will provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas, moving furniture and equipment, completing safety checks, lawn care, snow plowing, and maintaining facility spaces. This role also requires patient room and luggage searches, as well as transporting patients as needed. The schedule is daylight, 7am-3:30pm or 7:30am-4pm, with rotating weekends. No on-call is required. The location is 224 Twin Lake Road, 15501. The dress code is jeans/shorts and a T-shirt, with hats permitted. A $200 stipend is provided each October for winter clothing or boots.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
Ability to use housekeeping equipment.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
Remove trash from all assigned areas.
Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
