First Shift Housekeeper (M-F)
About The Position
This is a full-time, first shift Housekeeping position, Monday-Friday, with a pay rate of $13.00 - $15.00 per hour, dependent on experience and skills. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness of residential rooms and common areas, including tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, cleaning windows and mirrors, cleaning and supplying restrooms, and waste removal. The position also requires the use of industrial laundry equipment, maintaining cleaning charts, replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and reporting safety concerns or maintenance needs. Additionally, the housekeeper may assist in other specialty areas of the building, such as assisted living, long-term care, and laundry, and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping, laundry or janitorial experience preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare environment is a plus.
- A solid work history with excellent attendance & punctuality.
- High school diploma/GED OR 1 to 3 years of related experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must have the ability to complete required safety classes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to pass drug test and FBI/BCI background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in healthcare environment is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and dusting assigned residential rooms and common areas.
- Clean windows and mirrors.
- Clean and supply restrooms.
- Remove waste and empty trash.
- Use of industrial washer and dryer.
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Organize janitorial storage areas.
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
- Assisting as needed in other specialty areas of the building, including assisted living, long-term care. and laundry.
- Additional duties as assigned.
