About The Position

An iconic Cape May resort hotel, the Montreal Beach Resort remains a favorite destination for beachgoers to the Jersey shore – and has been since 1966. Come join an amazing team with a fun culture while working in the beautiful Cape May environment! The property currently consists of our hotel, which boasts 70+ hotel rooms, a locally favorite restaurant, Harry's Ocean Bar & Grille, which includes Cape May’s only rooftop bar, and of course beach service. The resort is also proud to have Cape May’s only oceanfront liquor store – The Wine Cellar at Harry’s. The role of the Housekeeper is to ensure hotel rooms are clean, orderly, attractive, equipment operating as intended, and ready for use to meet the guest arrival schedule.

Responsibilities

Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest.
Mops and vacuums all floors daily, and cleans mops after each use.
Cleans and disinfects sink, toilet and tub-shower, restocks soap and toilet paper and provides clean towels as needed.
Washes windows and window coverings in all rooms as needed.
Dusts all counter tops, bedroom dresser tops and furniture as needed.
Dusts paintings and door jams in rooms and hallways weekly.
Empties all trash cans on a daily basis and disposes of trash in designated areas.
Recycles appropriate materials in accordance with training procedures.
Reports any broken items such as beds, chairs and fixtures to management.
Replace light bulbs as needed.
Assures all unnecessary lights are turned off as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
