About The Position

Housekeeper Opportunity This opportunity is for year around employment and offers full benefits. Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our four outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression. Visit us online at: https://emeraldcoastbehavioral.com/ The Housekeeper performs duties necessary to clean and sanitize areas within and outside of the Hospital. Removes solid and/or biohazard trash as assigned. Respond to requests for emergency clean-up.

Requirements

  • Commercial housekeeping experience preferred. Experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work 7am-3pm, Friday-Sunday.
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening in compliance with Florida Statute.
  • Employment with Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital requires successful completion of a Level II background Screening. Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, etc. in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
  • Duties include but are not limited to dust mopping, light wet mopping, vacuuming, cleaning furniture, windows, windowsills and equipment, cleaning and making beds and polishing metal work.
  • Maintains security of supplies to prevent patients from inappropriately acquiring items that could provide a threat to themselves or others. Reports missing items immediately to nursing staff.
  • Uses chemicals and supplies properly and in accordance with manufacture instructions. Knowledge of chemicals, names and use/dilutions. Knowledge of location of Safety Data Sheets and how to read and understand.
