About The Position

East Bay Post Acute is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time basis. The Housekeeper plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred
Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Dependable, punctual, and responsible
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to safely use cleaning products and housekeeping equipment
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous attitude
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed

Nice To Haves

Healthcare or skilled nursing facility experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and other facility areas
Follow established cleaning and infection-control procedures
Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces as needed
Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately
Clean and maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies
Respond to spills and cleaning needs promptly
Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner
Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection-control policies
Report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
Maintain a professional and respectful environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff
Protect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality
Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
