About The Position

This position will clean all areas of Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center and satellite sites by performing routine cleaning of patient's rooms, offices, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintaining good employee relation and interdepartmental objectives. Enhance professional growth and developmental through education programs, trainings, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops; shows responsibility to own professional practice and ongoing education. Assist visitors with directions whenever requested. Practice confidentiality at all times when working in public setting. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass background check, physical, and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper guidelines in the use of custodial cleaning supplies and follow the safety and infection control standards when cleaning facility.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate.
• Dusting, Waxing and polishing furniture and wiping of all windows within the facilities or satellites sites, and operate industrial types of vacuum cleaners, buffers, and scrubbers and maintain all equipment properly.
• Read and understand equipment operation manual and maintain equipment properly.
• Works days or evening shifts as assigned.
• Completes assignments in a timely manner.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Cooperates with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintaining good employee relation and interdepartmental objectives.
