About The Position

The Housekeeper performs housekeeping duties for the hospital’s Environmental Services Department. As a “Housekeeper” you will provide routine cleaning service to assigned areas and predominantly to nursing units to ensure a safe and clean environment, by following established procedures and schedules. Meets all scheduling requirements and direction from supervisors to complete routine housekeeping/laundry services. Duties include dusting and wet mopping of floors, vacuuming, dusting and damp wiping of surfaces, wall washing, trash collection and removal, cleaning of restrooms and patient areas, and non-clinical areas and all other assigned duties. Additionally, the role involves sorting, loading and unloading linen into and from dryers, feeding/receiving linen into or from an ironer/folder, and folding and stacking linen and loading carts. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years EVS/Housekeeping experience

Nice To Haves

• HS diploma or equivalency (preferred)
• Preferred to be able to speak Spanish fluently
