About The Position

Contributes to the efficient daily operation of the Housekeeping activities by maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas of the facility, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel. Maintains professionalism in all interactions with internal and external customers. Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background screening / investigation according to the established requirements.
  • Tribal and Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
  • Must be able to submit supporting documentation of education and training to support qualifications.

  • Personal reference check and employment verification
  • Federal, State, and/or tribal criminal history backgrounds will be conducted.
  • Knowledge of goals, objectives, functions, policies, and procedures of Shoshone-Bannock Casino Hotel.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in cleaning guestrooms and public areas.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards.
  • Skill in the safe use of cleaning tools and equipment, chemicals, cleaners, and disinfectants.
  • Skill in basic repair work of housekeeping equipment.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in addressing customer problems.

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and deodorizes floors.
  • Removes and disposes of trash; dumps and cleans ashtrays; sanitizes trash cans.
  • Replaces dirty linens and towels with clean items; makes beds and folds towels.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks bathrooms.
  • Replaces guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
  • Washes or dusts walls, pillars, vents and other washable areas.
  • Cleans, shampoos, and extracts spills or biological excretion from carpet, when necessary.
  • Picks up paper and other trash from the floor and between customers and machines; sanitizes as needed.
  • Cleans inside and outside of windows.
  • Familiarizes self with the day’s activities and special events at the beginning of the shift.
  • Abides by all attendance policies and procedures.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as directed.
  • Reports accidents involving guests, employees, or company assets in an immediate manner.
  • Reports any possible problems or unusual circumstances to Supervisor or Security.
  • Provides excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times.
  • Builds and fosters effective working relationships with others.
  • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
