About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring Housekeepers at The Residence at Chadds Ford. This is a part-time position with a salary range of $17.00-$20.00/hour based on experience. The role involves cleaning residents' rooms and common areas, discarding waste, and performing general housekeeping duties in a professional and ethical manner that reflects LCB's values. The position requires appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting.

Requirements

  • Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting.
  • Must be able to properly clean residents' rooms and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc.
  • Discard waste into proper containers and assist with any general housekeeping duties necessary.
  • The ability to maintain a clean and neat environment is required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances is required.
  • The ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards is required.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required.
  • Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use cleaning equipment, such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers, and chemicals in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors, and any worker in the area.
  • Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided.
  • Associate may be subject to potential exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and to handling hazardous chemicals (either Category 1 or 2).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
  • Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat and floor with cleaning solution.
  • Completely clean kitchen areas; wipe counters and under objects, mop kitchen floors.
  • Empty wastebaskets and replace bags.
  • Dust and polish all surfaces.
  • Wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters.
  • Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
  • Clean all common areas and common bathrooms on a daily basis, and as often as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Remove, fold, and return bed linens.
  • Wash and fold linens.
  • Fill other positions as needed when someone is out.
  • Clean and wash windows.
  • Clean and dust blinds.
  • Perform general pick-up outside as needed.
  • Attend required in-service training and orientations.
  • Perform any other assigned duties.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
