About The Position

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team at Space Camp. The Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas in our Space Camp Habitats. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a dynamic, child-centric environment and will uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, bend, and stand for long periods.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Standing, walking, and climbing stairs for up to 8 hours.
Carrying, and lifting supplies and items weighing up to 40 pounds to waist height.
Bending, kneeling, reaching to store/retrieve supplies, cleaning high and low areas.
Inspecting, visually and physically, areas for cleanliness.
Working directly with cleaning chemicals such as bleach and floor strippers.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a residential or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas in the Space Camp Habitats.
Ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and are regularly inspected.
Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure all rooms are ready for new campers.
Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and towels.
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate staff.
Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleaning equipment and report any need for repairs or replacements.
Assist with laundry services as needed.
Interact with campers and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
