Housekeeper (Per diem)
About The Position
Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation has openings for Per diem Housekeepers. Per diem shifts are available on Weekdays/Weekends from 7 AM to 3 PM and Weekends from 3 PM to 11 PM. The primary functions include performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health, and Company standards. The role requires following instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to ensure the facility is maintained safely. Responsibilities include cleaning and polishing furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units in various areas, discarding waste and trash in proper containers, and relining trash receptacles. The job also involves ensuring work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
- Managing time effectively and having good organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping department in accordance with State, Federal, Health and Company standards.
- Follow instructions by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe manner.
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating/cooling units, in restrooms, recreational areas, etc., daily as instructed.
- Discard waste/trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with a plastic liner.
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.
