About The Position

This on-site living role is based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, 100 km from Jasper, offering stunning glacier views and mountain adventure. The position is part of a destination that includes the Glacier View Lodge, dining outlets, retail, and the Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Staff live on-site with accommodations and three hot meals per day. The Housekeeping team directly impacts the success and ability to deliver a superior guest experience at the Glacier View Lodge. The Housekeeper position is an active role focused on preparing and maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms. It requires teamwork, time management, attention to detail, organization, communication, and an appreciation for beautifully presented spaces to ensure each of the 32 rooms in the Glacier View Lodge meets a high standard. This position also involves collaboration with other departments, such as facilities cleaning. Duties may include arriving on time and in uniform, ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms and corridors, making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, folding and organizing linen stock, handling lost and found items, receiving and delivering linens, and attending to guest requests.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of manual duties (bend, stoop, squat and stretch)
  • Able to perform assigned duties with a high level of attention to detail, speed, consistency, follow through and under minimal supervision
  • Strong team play, organization and communication skills
  • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
  • Current Alberta Pro Serve Certification

Responsibilities

  • Arriving to work on time and in proper uniform
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the hotel’s guest rooms and corridors
  • Making beds, changing linens and general tidying of the room
  • Dusting and vacuuming / Cleaning bathrooms
  • Folding and organizing the linen stock
  • Handling lost and found items
  • Receiving clean linens from linen truck daily and assists in unloading
  • Delivering used linens to linen truck daily and assists in unloading
  • Attending to any requests from guests
  • Other duties as assigned
