About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services, cleaning areas such as offices, stairwells, hallways, restrooms, waiting areas, lounges, and patient rooms. The role disinfects and cleans areas to help prevent the spread of infection. Duties may also include retrieving and restocking inventory, running errands, and cleaning operating rooms after surgery. The position requires comfort working around patients who may be ill, stressed, in pain, wounded, or contagious, as well as exposure to blood and other bodily fluids.

Part-time day and evening positions are available. Day hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; evening hours are 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. Both schedules require working every other weekend and every other holiday. Starting pay is $15.79.

Requirements

• No experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Microsoft Outlook.
• Comfortable being around patients who may be ill, extremely stressed, in pain, wounded, or contagious.
• Comfortable being around blood and other bodily fluids.
