About The Position
Generations at Applewood is seeking Full-time Housekeepers for the Day Shift (7a-3p). Days may vary, and every other weekend is required. Generations at Applewood is a lovely, newly renovated skilled nursing facility in Matteson, IL. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, have a committed work ethic, and will enjoy working with our residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Housekeeping experience required
- Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine housekeeping duties
- Personable and professional with residents, families, and a team-player with staff
- Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Must pass a background check, including fingerprinting, if not already on the IDPH Registry of Healthcare Workers
Nice To Haves
- Housekeeping experience in healthcare is a plus
Responsibilities
- Clean, dust, wash and disinfect all rooms, halls, bathrooms, fixtures, floors, doors, ceilings and walls as directed
- Clean water fountains, sinks, mirrors and glass panels in doors and partitions
- Clean ledges, shelves, vents, windows, window sills, etc.
- Replenish supply of soap and towels in appropriate receptacles
