About The Position

Recovery Works NW is seeking a part-time housekeeper for their 16-bed, home-style medically managed withdrawal management facility. This role is ideal for someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule in a small, personal environment, with opportunities to grow and learn about the mental health/substance abuse field. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the recovery community
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects when necessary.
  • Familiarity with infection control practices and safety regulations in healthcare environments.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, visitors, and fellow staff members.
  • Current CPR certification, or willingness to obtain via company-paid class within 6 weeks of hire.
  • Position is contingent on passing an OHA Background check and successful completion of a urine analysis (UA) after accepting job offer

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work, preferably in a healthcare setting, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and proper chemical handling is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms, including beds, furniture, fixtures.
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Empty and clean waste containers, including hazardous waste, following proper disposal procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness in public areas, such as dining room, hallways, living rooms, restrooms.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels in designated areas.
  • Follow established protocols for infection control and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners, safely and efficiently.
