About The Position

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Housekeeper to join their Environmental Services team at Village on the Green. This role involves cleaning assigned resident homes and common community areas, including washrooms and floors, and dusting. The Housekeeper will also be responsible for caring for residents' belongings, preparing rooms for new occupants after transfers or discharges, maintaining an organized and stocked work cart with properly labeled and stored chemicals, and following specific cleaning practices for isolation rooms according to infection control guidelines. The position requires initiating requests for supplies and equipment to the supervisor and confirming correct chemical storage.

Requirements

• No experience required. A willingness to learn is needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident homes and common community areas to include cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, cleaning floors and dusting.
• Deliver appropriate care of residents’ belongings for purposes of cleaning, organizing, and storing.
• Execute timely cleaning duties when a resident has been transferred, moved out or discharged, and prepare rooms quickly and efficiently for new occupant.
• Maintain an organized and stocked work cart while ensuring that chemicals are properly labeled and stored, and the work cart is locked when in common areas or while unattended.
• Follow cleaning practices for isolation rooms using appropriate infection control and isolation guidelines as indicated by department cleaning procedures.
• Initiate request for supplies and equipment needs to supervisor, as well as confirm chemicals are labeled and stored correctly.
