About The Position

Keep assigned areas clean, sanitized, and aseptic by scrubbing, mopping, spot cleaning window washing, carpet vacuuming, dusting, and other typical housekeeping tasks. Keep workstations carts and supply areas clean and well stocked.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferable.
  • Ability to read and follow directions.
  • Highly developed sense of responsibility to be able to work independently.
  • Commitment to excellence in cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Ability to cooperate with others.
  • Knowledge of general work routines for all areas.
  • Knowledge of procedures.
  • Working knowledge of procedures for chemical four system and chemicals.
  • Knowledge of Bethesda’s personnel policies.
  • Continual walking and standing.
  • Life weights of 20-40 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling movements.
  • Occasional squatting, kneeling, sitting, reaching above shoulder levels.
  • Requires self-direction to comply with necessary job requirements.
  • Clean, fitted scrubs in solid colors or simple patterns. Bethesda shirts. Black, khaki, or jeans with no holes or rips.
  • Closed-toe, comfortable, slip-resistant shoes.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, oral hygiene and deodorant. Neatly tied back if long.
  • Visible name badge, worn on chest area.
  • Compliance with facility guidelines for masks, gloves, goggles, etc. if applicable.
  • Covered or removed if posing infection or safety risk.
  • Covered if unprofessional or offensive.
  • Clean, well-maintained attire.

  • Maintain cleanliness of residents’ bathrooms.
  • Clean soiled utility room.
  • Keep hallways clean.
  • Clean dining area.
  • Clean all Public and Employee bathrooms.
  • Clean linen room.
  • Clean resident lounge.
  • Clean med room.
  • Clean kitchenette.
  • Clean RN Supervisors office.
  • Maintain elevators and stairways in a neat and clean manner.
  • Total Resident Room cleans on bath day.
  • Clean Spa Tub or Shower Room.
  • Clean Employee Break Rooms
  • Pro Rehab Therapy Areas
  • Extra assignments that need to be done periodically.
