About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain all residence halls at a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. Housekeeping staff are responsible for the proper maintenance and appearance of residence hall public areas such as lobbies, lounges, hallways, stairwells and elevators. Housekeepers also clean and sanitize bathrooms, distribute supplies, sweep, mop and wax floors.

Requirements

• Some knowledge of cleaning procedures
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
• An equivalent combination of training and experience.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge, skills and abilities to perform a variety of duties including all aspects of cleaning, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, restroom sanitation, etc.
• Basic computer skills to perform tasks such as email and supply ordering.
• Experience in operating floor maintenance equipment such as auto scrubber, high speed buffer, carpet extractor
• Knowledge and experience in using a variety of cleaning products.
