About The Position

This position is responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of the physical property, including building interiors and exteriors, common areas, amenity areas, office, and grounds. The role requires maintaining a pleasant atmosphere and a positive rapport with residents. Due to the nature of the property management industry, this position must be available to work the last day and first day of each month.

Requirements

Ability to communicate orally and understand written and oral instructions.
Ability to calculate hours worked and supplies needed.
Must be able to work independently and be a team player.
Ability to read and pay attention to detail when delivering notices to the correct resident’s address.
Ability to prioritize duties/ assignments.
If position has multiple site locations, valid driver’s license with current vehicle insurance.
Ability to move 35 pounds.
Ability to walk up and down stairs carrying a vacuum cleaner.
Ability to bend over and climb a ladder.
Ability to communicate in English clearly with the others orally and in writing.
Ability to go in and out of many buildings, walking up and down stairs.
Ability to work outside in very cold or very hot weather.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

Walk all hallways – pick up any trash, vacuum, and/or clean floors, walls, and ceilings.
Clean all laundry rooms; wipe down all machines, tables and wash tubs. Sweep and mop floors.
Empty trash.
Clean all entryways and stairwells, wipe down all windows, sweep and mop stairs and landings.
Wipe down all handrails. Clean rugs. Clean doors, closures, knobs and frames. Empty all trashcans. Wipe down entry phones and mailboxes.
Walk the entire outside of the buildings and pick up all trash. Pay special attention to cigarette butts throughout all entries.
Deliver flyers and letters to residents on the same day received.
Perform special projects as directed by management.
Clean office/clubhouse/amenity areas/model units (if applicable).
Make all “turning” apartments ready for the new residents.
Monitor supply inventory and creating a supply order for management.
Participate in on-going training sessions.
Create and maintain a safe work environment, any safety concerns must be reported to your supervisor immediately.
Adhere to all Fair Housing laws and regulations.
