The primary purpose of this position is to perform housekeeping duties in an assigned area of the Samarcand Training Academy. Employee in this job follow a work schedule that covers all phases of housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. Employee will clean dorm rooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas.

Requirements

• Must have a valid NC Driver License.
• Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using established cleaning procedures and and/or techniques.
• Experience using products and equipment used in a cleaning operation.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Experience using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning ceilings, vents, and walls.
• Polishing furniture.
• Dusting and vacuuming.
• Maintaining floors including mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Shampooing carpets.
• Washing windows, screens, and blinds.
• Cleaning and changing soiled or worn linen, pillows, and bed covers.
• Replenishing restrooms with towels, toilet paper, and soap.
• Cleaning lavatories, commodes, urinals, mirrors, showers, and tubs.
