About The Position

The team at the Veterans' Home of Wyoming cottages (Skilled Nursing Facility) is looking for a caring and motivated individual to assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment. This individual must be a flexible team player willing and able to use their skills at the Assisted Living Facility as well. Requirements

Knowledge of cleaning methods and practices.
Knowledge of cleansers, supplies, and equipment.
Knowledge of basic math.
Knowledge of state and facility policies and procedures.
Knowledge of universal precautions.
Knowledge of emergency procedures, cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
Knowledge of infection control standards.
High School Diploma or equivalent
0-6 months of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Housekeeping) in lieu of education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

Cleans and restocks resident rooms
Cleans and disinfects all public areas, including carpets, handrails, doors, windows, trash cans, and light fixtures
Cleans bathrooms
Gathers trash
Determines appropriate chemical solutions for cleaning and disinfection
Assists with laundry services, including sorting, drying, and distributing.
Assures cottages have a supply of clean linens, cleaning supplies, and trash bags
Assists with scheduled, comprehensive cleaning of dining room area
