About The Position

The Housekeeper works in Environmental Services at ProHealth Care, helping maintain a clean and safe environment across hospital areas. The role performs general and specialty-area cleaning, supports infection control and safety standards, operates and cleans equipment, handles linen services, and distributes supplies and clean linens to user departments while maintaining stock levels on nursing floors. The position also safely handles and packages waste streams and provides customer service to patients, families, staff, and others. The main schedule is 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, with occasional shifts from 6:30 PM–3:00 AM depending on department needs. The schedule includes every other weekend and three holidays per year. Pay is $18 per hour, increasing with experience, plus a $4.00 night differential.

Requirements

Must be flexible with schedule days and scheduled shifts.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work as part of a team and move from task to task with ease.
Must be able to use a bed management system such as EPIC, pagers, and phones.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned hospital areas.
Operate and clean equipment.
Provide linen services and clean floors and surfaces.

Distribute linens and supplies to support hospital operations.
Deliver clean linens to user departments and maintain stock levels on nursing floors.
