About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring Weekend Housekeepers at Mercer Hill at Doylestown. This is a rewarding role working with seniors, and we are looking for individuals with appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting. The role involves conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner that reflects LCB’s values. The primary duty is to properly clean residents' rooms and residence common areas, including tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, and disinfecting. You will also be responsible for discarding waste into proper containers and assisting with any general housekeeping duties necessary.

Requirements

Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting.
Must be able to properly clean residents' rooms and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc.
Must be able to discard waste into proper containers and assist with any general housekeeping duties necessary.
Ability to maintain a clean and neat environment is required.
Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances is required.
Ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards is required.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required.
Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs., and be able to carry objects.
Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Must use good body mechanics.
Must be able to use cleaning equipment, such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers, and chemicals in a safe manner.
Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors, and any worker in the area.
Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided.
May be subject to potential exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials, and to handling hazardous chemicals (either Category 1 or 2).

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting is preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community.
Represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including toilet, vanity, sink, shower, shower seat and floor with cleaning solution.
Completely clean kitchen areas, including wiping counters and under objects, and mopping kitchen floors.
Empty wastebaskets and replace bags.
Dust and polish all surfaces.
Wipe off all surfaces including windowsills, woodwork and counters.
Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
Clean all common areas and common bathrooms on a daily basis, and as often as needed.
Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, orderly manner.
Wash and fold linens.
Remove, fold, and return bed linens.
Clean and wash windows.
Clean and dust blinds.
Perform general pick-up outside as needed.
Attend required in-service training and orientations.
Assist with filling other positions as needed when someone is out.
Perform any other assigned duties.
Perform other duties as requested.
