About The Position

McMenamins Edgefield is hiring for a Housekeeper. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beverages and pub fare. The primary responsibility of the housekeeping staff is to clean and maintain hotel rooms in a timely manner, ensuring they are clean and pleasant for guests. This role plays a significant part in providing guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Housekeepers are responsible for finished rooms, cleaning projects, and knowledge of company policies and procedures related to housekeeping. Excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers is also required. This position demands mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 16+ years old
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Daily preparation of rooms
• Changing linens on the bed
• Upkeep of linen closets
• Cleaning of toilets, sinks, showers
• Changing linens and cleaning floors
• Assisting the maintenance (janitorial) staff when needed
• Providing support to the front desk as needed
• Assisting guests in any manner possible (e.g., getting ironing boards, cribs)
• Answering guest questions
• Providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and customers
