Housekeeper (Full Time)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for a full time HOUSEKEEPER position. This role performs light cleaning duties to maintain establishments, including hotels, restaurants and hospitals, in a clean and orderly manner. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. The role involves providing quality customer service, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, rugs and draperies, shampooing carpets, rugs and upholstery, dusting and polishing furniture and fittings, cleaning metal fixtures and fittings, emptying and cleaning trash containers, disposing of trash in a sanitary manner, cleaning wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers, wiping down glass surfaces, making up beds and changing linens as required, realigning furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout, responding to guest queries and requests, and responding to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses. The position contributes to team efforts and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others. TouchPoint Support Services, as part of Compass Healthcare, focuses on serving hospitality for patients, families, and visitors at Ascension Health hospitals across the U.S., creating moments that matter through meals, facilities, and patient support.
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
- Willing to train!
Responsibilities
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors.
- Vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies.
- Shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and fittings.
- Cleans metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empties and cleans trash containers.
- Disposes of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
- Wipes down glass surfaces.
- Makes up beds and changes linens as required.
- Realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- Responds to guest queries and requests.
- Responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contributes to team efforts; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
