About The Position

The Lodge at Blue Ridge is seeking Housekeepers to join their team! This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping activities to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including resident rooms and common areas. The shift details are 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required
One (1) year job-related experience
Understanding of infection control procedures
Ability to multitask and manage stress
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication

Responsibilities

Perform all housekeeping activities such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, shampooing carpets, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning counters, and taking out the trash.
Restock common area bistro’s and bathrooms, resident rooms and bathrooms with appropriate paper products and hand soap.
Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
Set up and mix water and detergents in proper containers to prepare cleaning solutions.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Clean community common area and resident room(s) floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment, including moving furniture.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Make adjustments to heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including changing filters.
Gather and empty trash.
Remove debris from outdoor porches, parking lot, and dumpster area.
Ensure all bathrooms (common area, resident) are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and liquid soap.
Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
Ensure all suites with two residents are cleaned twice a week.
Notify supervisor of the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems by documenting in the maintenance log and housekeeping checklist.
